Our Nursing Team

Sara is our head nurse and has worked at Roborough Vet since 2003; she began her nursing career at this practice and loves the patient and client base so much she’s still here.

One of her biggest professional achievements, so far, has been completing the Graduate Diploma in Professional and Clinical Veterinary Nursing through the Royal Veterinary College. Sara believes that continuing education, as well as a compassionate and understanding attitude, are essential in maintaining the best standards of care and support for our patients and their owners. She has a keen desire to improve support for our patients with chronic conditions; to this end she has completed the VN merit award in dermatology and has created a support service for our patients with skin conditions. She is currently the chair for the Veterinary Nurse Dermatology Group.

In her own time Sara trains hard in Karate and other martial arts and spends time being active in the outdoors with her family.

Kelly is one of our veterinary nurses and has been working at this clinic since May 2012. She has an interest in animal nutrition and hopes to specialise in this, in the near future. Kelly also likes to inform clients of our available non-pharmaceutical products if suitable, which are completely natural, sustainable and environmentally friendly.

Then at home Kelly spends her time with her Husband and Daughter. She also spends a lot of her down time at her local CrossFit Box.

Isabelle is one of our registered veterinary nurses, she qualified in June 2016 and joined the team in July 2016. She has recently completed a certificate in oral care; she chose to do this so she can provide the best advice to clients with regards to their pet’s dental health. Isabelle is an advocate in preventative health care, and believes that client education on parasite control, diet and dental care is essential in ensuring their pet’s good health.

Outside of work Isabelle loves going on adventures with her spaniel x collie (Brian) and chilling with her cat (sooty). She is also building her own house with her partner.

Amanda is one our Registered Veterinary Nurses. Amanda qualified in June 2017 from Bicton College and joined our team in August 2021.

Amanda has a keen interest in imaging and physiotherapy. Amanda also has a keen interest in Guinea Pigs and Rabbits and educating clients on how to best look after these pets from housing to nutrition.

At home Amanda has Loma the rescue Beagle, Morty the cat and her 2 guinea pigs Pumpkin and Oreo.

In her spare time Amanda is a Muay Thai and K1 kickboxing fighter, currently in her amateur career but looking to progress onto the professional stage. She dreams of representing her country and even obtaining a British and World Title in the future.
